Awelani Lodge is located just 12 km from Kruger National Park’s Pafuri Gate on the R525. The lodge offers a range of accommodation options, including self – catering chalets, bungalows, safari tents, standard rooms, and a camping site. Guests can also enjoy an on – site restaurant and pub. Situated within a 1,700 – hectare conservancy, Awelani provides visitors with excellent opportunities to walk or mountain bike through scenic landscapes featuring abundant baobabs, sandstone outcrops with rock art, and traditional grain storage units. A purpose – built bird hide and waterhole make it a prime birdwatching destination.

ENVIRONMENT
• Rainfall: Summer rainfall region, from October to March.
• Temperature: o Summers: Hot and humid (20°C at night to mid-30°C during the day).
o Winters: Mild and dry (10°C at night to mid-20°C during the day).
• Malaria: Awelani Lodge is in a malaria-prone area. The lodge participates in public mosquito control programs, but
guests are advised to consult a medical professional about malaria prophylaxis.
